BWRT PSYCHOPHYSIOLOGY

BWRT psychophysiology is a very new field for BrainWorking Recursive Therapy- (BWRT®) to extend into, and works with someone’s psychological response to physiological conditions (or psychophysiology).

It is designed to be complementary to any medical treatment that someone is receiving and does not interfere with this. The approach is about imagination and an understanding of the way the body works, and is seen as an enhanced coping strategy, to improve the psychological well-being of an individual. With that in mind, this is not, and never will be a medical treatment.

How many sessions will I need?

This, like the identity work, is a four stage approach, however, it can vary greatly, depending on how much your mind needs to process and work with around your conditions. It is also highly common to need to do some of the emotional work, and possibly identity work too.

There will also be work to complete within the sessions, to constantly keep our work in your mind, and give you the best chance of the outcome you want.

What does it work with?

There are a wide variety of conditions that BWRT psychophysiology can be used for, so this is not an exhaustive list, and this list is extending all the time.

It can be beneficial for:

  • An autoimmune condition (such as Crohn’s Disease, IBD, Ulcerative Colitis, Coeliac Disease, Psoriasis, Grave’s Disease, Hashimoto’s, as well as less common ones)
  • IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Pain issues
  • CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome)
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Lowered immune system
  • Stuttering/Stammering
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Diabetes
  • Enhancing performance (such as sporting ability).
